Our linear axes with toothed belt drives are used in a modern laundry processing plant. They play a crucial role in the automation of laundry transport.
Due to the high lint load, it was necessary to modify the standardised axis covers of the belt axes. Together with our customer, we developed specific adaptations to protect the internal linear guideways and toothed belts from dust and lint and to prevent the ingress of foreign bodies. By evaluating extensive compressed air tests, measures were developed that effectively minimise the ingress of dust.
The measures implemented have led to significant improvements that enable the linear axes to be used under difficult environmental conditions. The tightness of the axes has been significantly improved by our modifications, while the compressed air consumption for the customer has been significantly reduced.
